“Scarless” Breast Reduction (SBR)
What is it?
“Scarless” Breast Reduction (SBR) is the newer and safer method of decreasing breast size that leaves virtually no marks of surgery. SBR has an easy recovery and can be done under local anesthesia. The procedure takes approximately one hour and is done with modern liposuction techniques through micro-incisions. The average patient will achieve a 30% or more size reduction and a modest “lift” of the breast at the same time.
What are the limitations of traditional breast reduction?
Traditional reductions have been associated with several serious risks, including wound problems, ugly scars (such as “anchor” scars or “lollipop” scars), general anesthesia risks such as blood clots and worse, irregular breast shape, and infections.
